Frequently Asked Questions

Can children use their cellphones to call home while they’re at camp?

Sure, when they are in cell phone range.  Keep in mind that our lodges are insulated with electromagnetic radiation shielding and we make sure our campers wear the same aluminum foil headgear that our counselors developed to protect everyone from government mind control efforts.  Most of our outdoor activitiees are in areas well clear of cell phone radiation, for everyone's safety.

Can I send care packages to my child?

Absolutely!  After the counselors have sifted through the packages for anything they might enjoy or that might be dangerous for our reputation, we will pass the packages on to the campers to share.

What type of training do the counselors receive?

Our counselors are carefully selected and represent the best we could get.  They are experienced and rigorously trained.  Our boat captain has read books on watercraft and has over 6 hours of ocean experience, our STEAM counselors have extensive backgrounds in boiling water, and our hiking guides have spent much of their lives finding their way.

What should my campers bring?

A toothbrush is always good.   Some clothes, too.  And something to comfort them in strange beds so they can sleep despite all the scary noises that come from the wild animals in the forest all through the night.
