When you think about arts and culture, the places that often come to mind are The Louvre, The MET, The British Museum... but what if I told you that there was a new name echoing around the world? A new name synonymous with the pinnacle of human creativity? A name so powerful, so all-encompassing, that in its one year of existence, the whispers have already turned to roars --reverberating across the history books, topping the list of must see destinations -- a paradigm shift in what it means to even be "a place". What name is this you may ask? The Guggenheim? The Natural History Museum? Broadway? Literally Anywhere in Italy? Honestly most any major city? NO. 

ZEYNANA

Perhaps you want to study the impossible level of craftsmanship and detail of a Bernini sculpture or a painting by Michelangelo? To learn from the masters how life can be breathed into marble or linen canvas with patience and artistry. Perhaps you might want this, but what if instead, I told you, that you could learn how to make dinosaur shaped pancakes by putting batter in a turkey baster. And then get to eat said pancake?

ZEYNANA

Perhaps you want to marvel in awe at the Rosetta stone, a preserved relic and symbol of knowledge and language? To feel humbled by our collective history and inspired to pass it on? Boring. What if instead you can ask Nana "Nana, can I go outside and fish, run around, build fairy houses, and shoot bows and arrows?" and right before she says yes,  Zeydah interjects "I don't know, CAN you?"

Wow!!!  I never dreamed such a place existed!   It's hard to believe it's even legal!   I will never, ever, ever forget this experience... no matter how hard I try.   I can't imagine a better place for unsupervised children, and the excitement of all the near-death Explorations still haunts me!

I have completely and blissfully blocked my last year's camp experience from my mind; it's safer that way.   Maybe this year I will learn to survive on the camp food and actually get some sleep on my plastic garbage bag, which protected me well from the cold stone floors.   My parents say it builds character!

You might think that you could just go see your grandparents and they would show you a good time because they're... i dunno... your grandparents. You might think that they've got time on their hands and love you so they wanna show you how to do cool things that you don't yet know how to do, go see stuff you don't normally get to see, eat food you don't normally get to eat, you know: grandparent stuff. And that all that would just be like a "hey I'm going to see Nana and Zeydah", and then you do. And it's great. But what if all of that very casual, very natural, very fun and good time... also had an entire website, marketing campaign, production budget, and branding under the concept of "a summer camp"? Well that's what this is. So now you will not only actually be having a good time, you will also FEEL like you're having a good time too. If seeing your grandparents is Froot Loops: a delicious sugary cereal you only get to have on a special occasion, Camp Zeynana is Toucan Sam: a cartoon bird designed to appeal to children in order to psychologically manipulate them into eating it by convincing them that it's their idea with the tagline "follow your nose". It's brilliant really. You guys really know how to make family moments.
